Mahendranagar, 22 May,
It has been found that the private hospitals operating in Dhangadhi of Kailali are operating against the norms.
The private hospital in Dhangadhi is not operational, according to section 70 (d) of the Health Institution Operation Standards 2077. According to that criterion, 10% of the total number of beds in the hospital should be set aside for free compulsory treatment of poor, defenseless, and impoverished patients who come to the hospital for treatment, however, this is not the case in Dhangadhi.
During the Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city's supervision of several private hospitals, they did not observe all of the provisions of the Health Institution Operation Standard 2077 and other relevant legislation. The sub-metropolitan city has issued a notice and requested that the hospital function in accordance with the norms.
According to the notice published by Dhangadi sub-metropolitan, if the hospital does not operate in accordance with the required criteria, legal action would be taken.
