Two people have been arrested on the charge of murdering a local youth, Kuber Damain (Hale) of Kanchanpur's Krishnapur Municipality-2 Vani Navadurga Toll. Among those arrested are his nephews who are related to him.

The body of 35-year-old Hale was found buried on the banks of Bandandi after being killed by his relatives. The police said that Halle's nephew and niece killed him together. According to District Police Office Kanchanpur, the body of Hale, who was reported missing on 15 July, was found buried on the night of 18 July.

On the second day after the body was found, the police started an investigation on the suspicion that Halle was murdered. During the investigation, 22-year-old Ajay Damai, a nephew of the deceased, and 28-year-old Harish Damai, a nephew of the deceased, have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder.

Arrested Ajay and Harish are residents of the same village. The spokesman of the District Police Office Kanchanpur, Prakash Dangi, said that the deceased Hale used to drink alcohol and harass his elderly parents at home. According to him, on July 15, they took Halle to the river bank to negotiate.

They had consumed alcohol. In the same order, around 11 pm, a domestic dispute arose between Nephew Ajay and Nephew Harish with Halle. Ajay and Harish beat and stoned Hale. It has come to light from the preliminary investigation of the police that he died on the spot.

50 meters east from the spot, the deceased's slippers and check shirt were found. During the preliminary statement to the police, Ajay and Harish have also admitted to killing Halle.
