There has been a decrease in vehicle accidents in the financial year 2079/80 compared to the previous years in the Far West Province. In the previous fiscal year 2078/79, there were 672 vehicle accidents, but in the fiscal year 2079/80, the number of accidents has decreased by half. According to the data of the Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office, there were 320 vehicle accidents during that period.

A maximum of 169 motorcycle accidents have occurred in all nine districts of the state. In the financial year 2078/79, 356 motorcycles were involved in accidents. Compared to the previous financial year, motorcycle accidents have also decreased in the last financial year.

Eight trucks, two tippers, four dozers, 17 buses, 5 microbuses, 45 cars/jeeps, 41 tractors, 8 tempos, including 320 accidents occurred in the province last year. Similarly, in the financial year 2078/79, there were 672 accidents involving 32 trucks, 10 tippers, three dozers, 31 buses, four microbuses, one hundred and three cars/jeeps, 60 tractors, 24 tempos, and three hundred and fifty-six motorcycles.

According to the provincial traffic police, 177 people died in road accidents in Far West last year. One hundred and ninety-six people died in the financial year 2078/79. There has also been a decrease in the number of deaths due to road accidents in the province. According to traffic police data, 144 men, 22 women, 6 boys, and 5 girls died in road accidents in Far West last year. In 2078/79, 153 men, 27 women, 12 boys, and four girls died in traffic accidents, according to the report given by the provincial traffic police office.

There has also been a decrease in the number of people injured in vehicle accidents in the province compared to the previous financial year. Last year, 197 people were seriously injured while 395 people were injured in the previous year. Within the province, 151 men, 32 women, 7 boys, and 7 girls were injured in 2079/80, while 283 men, 73 women, 27 boys, and 12 girls were injured in 2078/79. According to the traffic police, the number of people injured in traffic accidents has also decreased. Last year, the number of minor injuries was 276. In 2078/79, 606 people were slightly injured.

Similarly, last year, two hundred and fifty-two accidents occurred due to collisions with livestock. In the previous fiscal year, five hundred and-one accidents occurred due to collisions with livestock. Last year, 16 cattle died in accidents. 6 were injured. In 2078/79, 31 quadrupeds died and 10 were injured.

It has been claimed that there has been a reduction in accidents in the last year compared to the previous year due to action taken against those who violate traffic rules and public awareness programs. According to the traffic police, there has been a decrease in the number of accidents due to the increase in vehicle enforcement.
