A Pakistani girl has married a young man from Jodhpur, India, online after not being able to get a visa to India. Recently, the news of the marriage between Sachin, a young man from India, and Seema Haider, a Pakistani mother of four children, has come to the fore.
According to Indian media NDTimes, the marriage of Amina, who is in Karachi, and Arbeez Khan, who is from Jodhapur, was arranged by both families. However, Amina could not get an Indian visa.
Talking to NDTV after the wedding, Arbeez said, “I could have gone to Pakistan and got married. But the law of my country does not recognize the marriage done there. So even if I had gone there and got married, we would have had to come back to India and get married again.”
Arbeez, who is also a chartered accountant, reached Ashwal Samaj Bhawan in Jodhpur with his family and friends on Wednesday and prepared for the wedding. After that, both families had a virtual wedding according to religious tradition.
Talking about this, Arbeez said that the arranged marriage took place after his relatives in Pakistan brought up the matter of Amina. "Our family members had arranged this wedding," said Arbeez, adding, "We had to do the wedding online because of the strained relations between India and Pakistan."
