A young man from Gauriganga Municipality of Kailali has traveled to all 77 districts of the country to promote the tourist areas of Far Western Province.
Devraj Padhya of Gauriganga Municipality-4 of Kailali reached Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur on Sunday evening and ended his journey here. Padhya, who started his journey from Dadeldhura in the first week of March last year, informed that he had started his journey on foot to identify and propagate the religious and potential areas of the Far West.
Padhya, who reached all 77 district headquarters in 173 days, said that he walked with panners about the religious and tourist areas in all the nine districts of Far West. "Many people were interested in distant religious tourist areas during the journey while identifying the potential areas for personal investment," he said.
He said that Padhya, who went on a walking tour, was supported by his home municipality Gauriganga Municipality with 20,000. "During the trip, we got help in many places for food and accommodation," he said, "Since the Far West is an area with immense potential for tourism, it is necessary to take initiatives for its promotion."
