A person lost 3.4 million rupees after believing in foreign employment on the social network Instagram.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Investigation Office, a person found out that he had been scammed only after losing 34 lakh 57 thousand 710 rupees after believing a fake advertisement on Instagram about getting a work permit visa with good facilities in Canada.

According to the office, the victim started talking to the Instagram user after seeing an advertisement for a job with a work permit in Cadon on the social network Instagram.

During the conversation, he offered a cashier's job in Canada and offered a monthly salary of 5,700 Canadian dollars, i.e. 545,000.

For that, the conversation started on WhatsApp after I asked to send the ILTS certificate, biodata, passport, and educational qualification certificates to start the process.

The victim believed in him and started giving money to him by chatting on WhatsApp time and time again.

For the process of Canada, they asked to pay money to send documents through DHL for health insurance, security deposit, allocated funds, and visa verification and asked them to deposit money into the bank accounts of various people in Nepal. But after paying the money, it was found that everything was fake.

In this way, the police have arrested two people who were involved in money fraud by showing the lure of foreign employment through online.

Lakshman Nepali of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality 6 of Kaski and Mahaveer Prasad Sah of Rajviraj of Saptari were arrested and further action has been initiated for the crime of fraud, the police said.
