Even after his retirement from Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Govind KC has continued his active service to patients.

After reaching Dodhara Chandni Municipality of Kanchanpur, which was geographically remote at one time, Dr. KC has been providing free health services for the past three days. The news that Dr. KC has come to provide services at the local level when health services are not yet accessible in the municipalities across the Mahakali River has caused a rush of service takers.

Dr. KC, who started serving from Dodhara Chandni Hospital, examined the health of 184 people on the first day and informed Om Basnet, president of the hospital and city spokesperson. Chairman Basnet says that other doctors of the hospital supported Dr. KC who was examining orthopedic patients.

Basnet said, "The number of people coming for health check-ups has increased significantly due to the news of Dr. KC's arrival." Stating that there was coordination with the hospital before coming, Basnet said that at the request of the hospital, he went to Dodhara Chandni to provide services. "Dr. Casey worked for the patients from 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening", he said. The hospital is providing necessary support and coordination to Dr. KC who reached Dodhara Chandni with medicine.

"We are also giving the free medicine we have after examination", said Basnet, "Recently, after the upgrading of this hospital, general surgeries have started here." After the construction of the Dodhara Chandni suspension bridge, the proposal of a four-lane concrete bridge in the area connected to the mainstream, as well as the development of the dry port, has progressed, but the residents of Dodhara Chandni still have to go to the Indian market for health services.
