Three medical clinics operating in different places of Baitadi's Dogdakedar have been sealed. Yogesh Prasad Bhatt, Head of Baitadi Health Office, said that during the monitoring on Tuesday, three medical offices operating illegally were sealed.
Health chief Bhatt said that Kabir Medical Hall at Panjeunyan, Dogdakedar Rural Municipality 6, Ranshaini Pharmacy, and Chand Clinic at Khochlek and Joshi Clinic at Sillegada have been sealed.
Krishna Singh Karki, the owner of Kabir Medical Hall in Panjunyan, has been arrested. The police said that he was taken into custody because the clinic was operated by a person who did not study health subjects. It is said that further research is being done on this matter.
A monitoring team including Chief District Officer Suresh Panthi has monitored the medical facilities. Health chief Bhatt said that the medical facilities were sealed because they were found to be selling medicines without a doctor's prescription, people who did not have the necessary educational qualifications, and they did not even complete the registration process with the relevant authorities.
