Medical education reformer Dr. Govind KC has announced that he will start 'satyagraha' on Bhadra 29 if his demands are not met.
KC issued a statement on Monday and announced that if there is no assurance of opening a medical college according to the Medical Education Act, they will start a satyagraha from Bhadra 29.
'We postponed the satyagraha for a month after we received various commitments from the government that we were going to start the satyagraha on the 29th of Shrawan with various demands. If those commitments are not implemented, such as introducing the Unified Establishment Act, legalizing the criteria for the appointment of officials, and opening at least one government medical college or establishment in all provinces within this year in accordance with the Medical Education Act for the production of all kinds of health manpower, and on the basis of geography and population, the government in Ilam, Udaipur, and Dadeldhura. If there is no assurance of opening medical colleges, we also inform you that we will start satyagraha from the 29th of Bhadra.' said in a statement.
