Pakistan fast bowler Naseem Shah is going to miss the rest of the Asia Cup 2023.
Zaman Khan has been included in his place after Shah was withdrawn from the squad after suffering a bowling injury towards the end of the Super Four match against India.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said Naseem is being 'monitored by the team's medical panel taking all necessary precautions' with the ODI World Cup starting in less than a month.
Zaman has joined the Pakistan team and started training.
As of now, Pakistan believes Naseem's injury will not affect his availability for the World Cup.
On the other hand, Haris Rauf, another bowler who did not bowl on the reserve day of the match against India, is in the process of getting fit, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board.
