YouTuber Dhruv Rathi has recently been listed in Time Magazine's 'Next Generation Leaders 2023'. Rathi Known for 'fact checking' and presenting educational content, Rathi has been making videos on various subjects on his channel.

This 28-year-old content creator expressed his happiness on Friday about this topic on the social network X. "' Time Magazine's Next Generation Leaders 2023. I feel very honored to be included in this prestigious list and I am proud to make India known internationally. Thank you,'" he said.

Dhruv initially started his YouTube channel as a travel vlog. However, after realizing that Indians are not trained on how to use the internet and blindly believe anything they see online, he started doing fact-checking and related videos, Time magazine quoted him as saying.

"My aim is to break the complex subject into simple words and present the subject as easily as possible," he said. This YouTuber also hit the media headlines when he made a video for a controversial film, The Kerala Story.

According to Rathi, he used government figures to counter the claims made in the film. But he was subjected to a lot of trolling online and his wife even faced backlash including rape threats for the video.

"In another illustration, his video was banned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting there last September, claiming to include a defaced map of Indian-administered Kashmir," the magazine noted. Born in Haryana, India, Rathi studied mechanical engineering in Germany.

Regarding the success of his YouTube channel, he says, "I'm amazed that something so simple can get so much attention... Maybe no one else has had the courage to try that."
