A journalism organization on Saturday reported the deaths of at least 12 journalists due to the fighting between the militant group Hamas and Israel.
By the eighth day of fighting, 12 journalists had been killed, CNN reported, citing the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).
The CPJ informed that 2 journalists have been without contact and 8 people have been injured since the Islamist group "Hamas" in Gaza attacked Israel.
Among those killed are 10 Palestinian journalists and one Israeli journalist. CPJ is studying the situation of journalists in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
According to CPJ, one of those killed, Saeed al-Tawil, is the editor-in-chief of Al-Khamsa News, a news portal operating from Palestine.
Likewise, CPJ informed that journalists including Hussam Mubarak of Al-Aqsa Radio, Ahmed Shehab of Al-Astra Radio, and others were killed.
Israel declared war and retaliated after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel last Saturday. More than 3,000 people have died in the fighting so far.
