New Delhi: Skipper Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli will skip the white-ball leg of India’s upcoming tour of South Africa, the country’s cricket board says.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a three-man captaincy for the tour of South Africa. From December 10 to January 3, a series of three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests will begin between India and South Africa.

Rohit Sharma will captain India's Test team during the tour of South Africa. Similarly, KL Rahul will captain the ODI team and Suryakumar Yadav will captain the T20 team. The BCCI has said that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been kept in the Test team only as they asked for rest in the ODI and T-20 series during the tour of South Africa.
