New Delhi, 19 Dec: Chennai Super Kings have bought New Zealand's star all-rounder Daryl Mitchell for 14 crore rupees (22 crore Nepalese rupees) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction. There was competition between Chennai, Delhi and Punjab in the auction.
New Zealand's star all-rounder Daryl Mitchell put 1 crore rupees in the auction. There was fierce competition in the auction between Delhi and Punjab to buy him. Delhi stopped charging after 11.5 crore baht. But it became more interesting when Chennai put the price at 12 crores. Chennai bought it in the end.
Earlier, Chennai had bought New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra for 1.8 crore rupees. Indian fast bowler Harshal Patel has reached Punjab Kings for 11.75 crore Indian Rupees (about 19 crore Nepalese rupees).
Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Pat Cummins for the highest price in IPL history of 20.5 crore baht (about 33 crore Nepalese rupees).
This is the highest price in the IPL auction. Earlier last year, Punjab Kings bought Sam Karan for 18.5 crore baht.
