  • NEPSE records a 21-point drop on Sunday

    Kathmandu, Dec 24: The NEPSE index, which measures stock turnover in the stock market, is still falling today. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the NEPSE index decreased by 21.03 points and reduced to 2088.07.
     
    The sensitive index, which measures the share turnover of large companies, has decreased by 5.29 points to 391.33. Out of the total 13 sub-groups traded, the share price of four sub-groups rose today while the share price of nine sub-groups fell.

    A total of 1 crore 85 lakh 89 thousand 379 shares were bought and sold at the price of Rs 7 billion 11 crore 17 lakh 33 thousand 829. In terms of turnover, Shivam Cement is at the top position. The turnover of that company is Rs. 30 crore 43 lakh 28 thousand.

    Similarly, Hathaway Investment Rs.295 million nine thousand five hundred and ninety four, Sonapur Minerals Rs.28 million nine hundred and forty seven hundred, Ghorahi Cement Rs.22 million and five million two hundred and twenty two million and IME Life Insurance Company Rs.19 million three hundred and seventy two thousand and eight hundred. They managed to enter the top five by trading equal shares.

    According to NEPSE, share prices of Bottlers Nepal, Kalika Power, Samling Power, BPW Laguvitta, Chirkhawa Hydropower, Muktinath Agricultural Company, Suryajyoti Life Insurance and other companies have increased by 10 percent and started a positive circuit. Similarly, Jyoti Bikas Bank's bonds and Nepal Republic Media's share prices fell by 10 percent, causing a negative circuit.

    Hathaway Investments lost 9.85 percent, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company 9.17 percent and the shareholders of Himalayan Distillery lost 6.87 percent.
