Kathmandu, Jan 22: A decline of 31.49 points has been observed in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index. Today, the NEPSE index decreased by 1.47 percent and stood at 2098.69.
According to NEPSE, 108 million 43 thousand 244 shares of 307 companies were bought and sold 150 thousand five hundred and 43 times. Today, the sub-index of the business group has increased by 0.35 percent, while the sub-index of all other groups has decreased. The Hydropower group has lost the most by 2.24 percent.
The share price of Upper Syangdi Hydropower Company increased the most today by 9.98 percent. The share price of Dordikhola Jalvidyut Company Limited decreased the most by 8.33 percent.
Based on the transaction amount and the number of shares traded, the most 11 lakh 97 thousand 355 shares of Himalayan Reinsurance Limited worth Rs 78 crore 63 lakh 83 thousand 492 were traded.
