Jaisalmer : A Tejas fighter plane involved in the Bharat Shakti exercise has crashed in Jailsemer. This is the first incident of Tejas plane crash.
It fell at the Bhil Community Hostel, which is 2 km from the city, around 2 pm on Tuesday. The hostel was empty when the incident happened. Officials said that there was no other damage.
The pilot managed to get out safely. According to eyewitnesses, panic spread throughout the area after the sudden explosion. Or the Air Force has ordered a court of inquiry to find out the cause of the accident.
The accident took place in Jaisalmer, about 100 km from the ongoing practice venue at Pokaran. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and many other leaders and senior army officers are present in the program.
