  • Just a few steps every day

Would you rather hitchhike than walk? If you choose comfort over some physical activity then there are major chances of you being surrounded by medication after a particular time.

Walking is often avoided by many groups, it can be a teenager or an adult. Since we have entered into more pieces of machinery, we are less likely to do basic physical activities. Here some benefits of walking are presented.

Walking helps in reducing stress and tension. A healthy weight can be maintained along with the loss of fat. Strengthing of bones and muscles as well as improves cardiovascular fitness. Improves balance and coordination also memory, sleep, and mood. Walking increases the energy levels in the body. It prevents heart disease and high blood pressure.

For instance, you may start as an average walker, and then work your way up to walking faster and walking a mile in a shorter amount of time than an average walker, similar to power walkers. This can be a great way to get aerobic activity, improve your heart health and increase your endurance while burning calories.

The faster, farther, and more frequently you walk, the greater the benefits.

The correct way of walking is equally important.

    • Your head is up. You're looking forward, not at the ground.
    • Your neck, shoulders, and back are relaxed, not stiffly upright.
    • You're swinging your arms freely with a slight bend in your elbows. A little pumping with your arms is OK.
    • Your stomach muscles are slightly tightened and your back is straight, not arched forward or backward.
    • You're walking smoothly, rolling your foot from heel to toe.

Walk to live a healthy and happy life. Rather than choosing a lift, use stairs and walk so you can have all the health benefits. To remain healthy nothing complicated is required, however consistent effort is a must.
