    Constituent Assembly Speaker, MP, and UML Vice President Subaschandra Nemwang, who created an image in Nepali politics as a strong, dignified leader who can get along with everyone, has passed away.

    He was rushed to the Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj after suffering a cardiac arrest at 1 o'clock last night. The doctors announced that Nemwang died as soon as he was taken to the hospital. Nemwang, the leader who promulgated the Constitution, passed away a week before Constitution Day.

    Nemwang, who held historical responsibility for Nepal's constitutional system, became the chairman of the Constituent Assembly twice. He has also become the speaker. Nemwang was born on February 28, 2009 in Vikram Samvat in Suntalabari of Elam. Nemwang, who graduated in law, also spent some time in the legal profession.

    Nemwang, who has been involved in politics since his student days, became the chairman of the Swaviyu in the year 2029 from Aneraswaviyu at the Mahendra Ratna Multipurpose Campus Ilam. Nemwang, who was imprisoned in the Rajkaz case in 2033, was organized in the then CPN Male.

    In 2047, after the merger between the then CPN-Malay and the CPN-Maxist Party, Nemwang became the head of the law department of CPN-UML and was nominated as a central member from 2058.

    He was elected as a central member of the 7th Congress of UML. After the ninth convention in 2071, he became a permanent committee member and the vice president in the tenth convention in 2078.

    Bikram was the president of Nemwang National Assembly in 2048 and 2052. He became the Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs in 2052. In the parliamentary elections of 2056, Nemwang, who won from Ilam, again became the Minister of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Order, and then the Minister of General Administration. In 2057, he became the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament.

    He was elected Speaker in the Interim Parliament of 2063. Elected from Elam in the election held in 2064, Nemwang became the chairman of the Constituent Assembly. Then after the second Constituent Assembly election in 2070, he became the president. In the general elections of 2074 and 2079, Nemwang was elected as a member of the House of Representatives.

    Nemwang, who had a simple and gentle nature and spoke in a measured manner, died forever without being able to speak to anyone at the last moment of his life. A heartfelt tribute to Nemwang, who played an important role in the country's political change and constitution-making.
