In the last few days, he has met with the leaders of the major Communist Party of Nepal. He has met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachand' and CPN-UML President KP Sharma Oli several times.

China wants the communist government to continue. Chinese Ambassador Chen Song became active so that the presidential election would not overthrow the communist-led government.

Chinese Ambassador Chan Song reached the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning with this message from China. He was interested in the matter of the President with the Prime Minister. He gave important advice to Prime Minister Prachanda, who was looking for national consensus in the presidency, to preserve the communist-led government.

'He (Ambassador Chan Song) showed interest in the matter of the President. The Prime Minister said that the President will be elected by national consensus and that he is communicating with the parties in this regard. Apart from that, the ambassador believed that the communist-led government should be protected,' said the Baluwatar source. He asked not to break up because of the President. 'His message was that UML and Maoists should not split because of the President,' said the source.

Before that, Ambassador Song went to Balkot last Sunday (February 5) to meet UML President Oli. Ambassador Song also conveyed China's message to President Oli. He thought that China wants stability in Nepal and that can only be possible with the help of communist parties and the left-led government should continue. He was also interested in the presidential issue with President Oli.

It is natural to be interested in the President. He expressed his views on maintaining the unity of the left and the continuation of the communist-led government,' a senior UML source told Annapurna.

These meetings of Ambassador Song are not the first. He arrived in Kathmandu on 24th December to assume the responsibility of ambassador and presented the certificate of appointment to President Bidya Devi Bhandari on 29th December. After that, Ambassador Song had a meeting with Prime Minister Prachanda on January 2. At that time, they discussed BRI project implementation, Nepal's infrastructure development, Nepal-China relations, mutual interests, and interests. He wanted Nepal's support in the one-China policy.
