Doctors have halted services at all hospitals across the country, except for emergency care, on Sunday in protest against the attacks on doctors in Hetauda.

The protests began when a group of doctors at the Hetauda Hospital staged a walkout in protest of an attack on a doctor. An unruly group barged into Sancho Hospital in Hetauda-1 and thrashed on-duty doctors Prashanta Bidari and Bikash Thapa on Wednesday over the death of a dengue patient a month ago.

Since then, doctors at other government hospitals in Hetauda have joined the protests. The doctors are demanding that the government take steps to protect them from violence and to improve working conditions in government hospitals.

The protests have led to a shortage of doctors at government hospitals. This has put a strain on private hospitals in the city, which are already struggling to cope with the high demand for medical services.

Many patients are now waiting for hours or even days to see a doctor at private hospitals in Hetauda. 

The government of Nepal has called on the doctors to end their protests and return to work. The government has also promised to take steps to protect doctors from violence and to improve working conditions in government hospitals.
